Shibboleth
Students and staff members of the University of Mannheim can use this option to conveniently access digital resources from off campus – without VPN.
Shibboleth is an authentication procedure and enables access to licensed digital resources on platforms of publishers or other providers from off-campus. The access is named institutional login on the pages of the publishers, for example.
As a student or staff member of the university select the University of Mannheim from a list. Then register with your Uni-ID via a mask provided by the university.

Not all publishers support Shibboleth. Currently, Shibboleth access via Mannheim University Library is possible on the following platforms.
