Test Procedures for Psychology

The Mannheim University Library provides Psychology students with various test procedures. Physical tests can be borrowed from the Test Library. A range of digital tests are accessible via the Psychology Test Lab.

Test Library

The Test Library contains educational and psychological tests.

Tests may be viewed and borrowed for research and teaching purposes only.

You can find all tests in the Primo catalog when you use the “Advanced search“, choose the option “Library Section” in the drop-down menu and enter “test”.

Borrowing

Persons qualified for borrowing items from the Test Library are

  • psychologists and students of psychology at the University of Mannheim.
  • students enrolled in other programs as well as staff members of the University of Mannheim who can provide evidence of their academic interest. The users must provide written acknowledgment by the instructor (PDF, 118 KB, in German).
  • external psychologists holding a library card upon presentation of their diploma.

All tests have a loan period of 14 days with the possibility of a renewal upon request.

Psychology Test Lab

Besides the physical test library, we offer students of Psychology and related subjects the opportunity to carry out PC-supported diagnostics as self-tests or tests with participants for practice purposes in the Psychology Test Lab of the University Library.

The use for exam papers and research purposes is not permitted. In the Test Lab, the Hogrefe test system can be used with selected digital test procedures.

Usage

Access to the test lab is managed via the information desk in the A3 Library, where you can also book rooms. Access is possible Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., you can even leave the test lab after 6 p.m.

Students who are not studying at the Faculty of Social Sciences are requested to additionally submit the form (PDF, 151 KB) signed by a lecturer.
