Data archiving and publication
MADATA is the University of Mannheim's research data server. It enables researchers at the university to store their data securely and make it accessible as needed. MADATA helps to make your data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable).
Advantages
- Storage of all types of electronic data and description of the data with structured, machine-readable metadata
- Backup of the data for at least 10 years on the data centre's servers (in accordance with the usual requirements of research funding bodies)
- Choice of accessibility: on request, university-wide or worldwide
- Persistent addressability and citability by assigning a Digital Object Identifier (DOI)
- Visibility through inclusion in national and international research data directories such as re3data.org
